Beekeeping is a lot of work, though imparts many rewards. Come hear about the joys and challenges involved with becoming a beekeeper. Our speaker Lisa Ghezzi, EAS Certified Master Beekeeper and UMD Master Gardener Emerita, has been studying bees and sources of forage for 15 years. While keeping it light and fun, Lisa will provide a realistic overview of the basic requirements, seasonal management approaches, and the time and cost commitments of keeping healthy honey bee colonies. She will also be available to answer your questions.
