Dear Friends of the Oxford Community Center,
As the new President of the Oxford Community Center’s Board of Trustees, I am honored to serve an organization that has been at the heart of our community for generations. Today, I’m writing to ask for your support as we work to ensure that OCC continues to thrive.
This year our historic building continues to be filled with life every week. From Oxford Kids Camp and TAP performances to Cars & Coffee, Monday Jam Sessions, yoga, educational programs, community gatherings, and world class music, OCC brings people together every day.
This year has also brought unexpected financial challenges. We have lost several sources of annual funding, grants have become more competitive, and expenses have continued to rise. In addition, we have incurred legal costs related to reviewing our 99-year lease. While we are reducing expenses, pursuing new sponsorships, and expanding legacy giving opportunities, we cannot do it alone.
The Oxford Community Center has long been called the heart of our community. That heartbeat depends on the generosity of people like you.
If you value having a welcoming place where neighbors gather, children learn, artists perform, and friendships are formed, please consider making a gift today. Every contribution—large or small—helps ensure that OCC continues serving our community for generations to come.

Looking Ahead to Fall
The exciting season of surprises features Terry J. Hart, former NASA astronaut, U.S. Air Force pilot, and industry leader in aerospace systems engineering, a Federal Judge Andre Davis, and a modern dancer and author Dana Tai Soon Burgess and members of his acclaimed dance company. They are the preeminent modern dance company of Washington, DC and Dana is the first-ever choreographer in residence at The Smithsonian Institution. Very unique experiences indeed!
We continue with amazing 250th anniversary programming with the Oxford Museum, a Fall Foliage Driving Tour, a 5K Run/Walk for Mental Health, The Model Boat Show, and the return of The Classic Cinema Club.
Our fall fundraiser, One Night in Madrid, will take place in October, followed by the return of Rachel Franklin in November. We will kick off Christmas on the Creek with the incredible Dominick Farinacci, and the Annual Community Holiday Potluck featuring the Easton High School Jazz Band will bring the season to a festive crescendo.
