Have you ever wondered how to sell your idea to Hollywood or how to get started with a film or TV idea? Do you wonder how movies get made? Then this two-day seminar is for you! Explore the five stages of Hollywood production in an exciting new seminar created in partnership with The Oxford Community Center and The Chesapeake Film Festival. Get your project and ideas ready to take this exciting journey. The speaker series is presented online for audiences to participate in the five zoom presentations that include Hollywood guest speakers as well as five workshops produced by CFF.

Liza Moore Ledford, former Hollywood studio executive, will present the overview of each of the five stages of production in the studio system prior to introducing a Hollywood insider to speak about each stage of the process. Ledford’s career spans 20 years, with 12 years in the studio system of Los Angeles, starting with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment at Universal Pictures and then moving to Sony Studios before launching her consulting firm. When Ledford moved east, she took her passion for story development and Hollywood relationships to her entertainment consulting company. She currently serves as executive director of the Oxford Community Center and president of the Oxford Business Association in Oxford, Maryland.

The Chesapeake Film Festival adds the powerful resumes of its board members to the program. Each stage of production is accompanied by a workshop to dive deeper into the educational aspect of the discussion. The CFF moderators and staff include Cid Collins Walker, festival director, Chesapeake Film Festival, Kimberly Skyrme, casting director and producer, Irene Magafan, editor, producer and voice over talent, with Monda Webb, producer, as technical director and Q&A moderator.
