One Night to Remember–Hot Havana Night at the Oxford Community Center
Let the rhythm of Cuban beats and the allure of 1950s Havana transport you to a sizzling summer night on June 1 st , 2024, at the Oxford Community Center
(OCC). Get ready for “One Night in Old Havana” a one-of-a-kind event promising vintage charm, Latin flair, and an unforgettable evening.
Immerse yourself in the ambiance of a Cuban social club from days gone by, with neon lights, antique cars, fedoras, sequins, and swagger. The evening promises a journey to Old Havana
with Latin-inspired small plates and signature cocktails featuring Lyons Rum. Pose for a memorable photo and sample a fine cigar in the enchanting cigar lounge on the patio.
The night will be filled with sultry singers, surprise guest appearances, and electrifying salsa dancers. Renowned dance instructor Scott Lazarov, a 4-time US Pro-Am champion, will lead a
group salsa lesson, inviting everyone to join the rhythm and swing their hips.
“We look forward to transporting you back to ‘One Night in Old Havana,” says Liza Ledford, Executive Director of OCC. “This will be an immersive experience filled with tropical cocktails,
live music, and plenty of salsa dancing. It promises to be a wonderfully entertaining evening supporting our mission.”
Break out your cocktail attire, but to really make your entrance, vintage costumes are available from The Factory in Easton. Complete styling packages, including hair, makeup, and wardrobe
selection, will also be available (appointments will be scheduled closer to the event date; check back on our website).
“1950s Havana is calling you,” said event chair and Oxford resident Jennifer Leps. “We look forward to whisking you away to another time and place. Salsa rhythms will spill out onto the
patio cigar bar, while inside, a mesmerizing display of song and dance unfolds. Prepare to be transported to one night to remember!
The party begins at 6:30 PM with tickets priced at $75, including an open bar and delicious Latin-inspired heavy appetizers by The Ivy. Fine hand-rolled cigars from Port of Call Cigars will
be available to further bring Old Havana to life. The event is produced in partnership with The Factory under the creative direction of Cecile Storm.

a one hour consultation with The Factory’s professional costumers and stylists. The hour includes a full period costume for the event, hair & make up consultation, self care party favors and Cuban inspired cocktails & snacks. Each guest will receive a bespoke floral headpiece made by our costumers that compliments their look. The party starts here as guests will be encouraged to stay after their session and socialize with their fellow Cubanistas.
