2024 Oxford Fine Arts Featured Artist
Howard Lapp

Featured Artist - Howard Lapp
Featured Art - "Winters End"

Known for his iconic scenes from Oxford and other Eastern Shore locales, long time Oxford resident, Howard Lapp, has a unique perspective and boldly integrates structure into his pieces while painting in a contemporary style. Howard uses shadows, strong color and contrasts to create compelling pieces. His paintings have been featured in Yankee and Chesapeake Bay magazines, and in numerous galleries and exhibitions in Hawaii and the East Coast. Lapp earned an Award of Excellence in an International Marine Art exhibition at Mystic Seaport (CT). His paintings and prints can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the US and in Europe; a piece was selected by the Curator of the Arts in Embassies program to grace the residence of the US Ambassador in Brazil.
